Denny Dimin Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of an exciting new gallery in Hong Kong mid-levels. Located in a bespoke residential building the gallery will open with new work by New York artists, Erin O’Keefe and Matt Mignanelli.
The gallery is the first of its kind for New York based Denny Dimin Gallery. Curated by partner Katie Alice Fitz Gerald who relocated to Hong Kong in 2016, the private space is set to showcase four contemporary art exhibits in 2019.
Erin O’Keefe’s images operate in the space between photography, painting and sculpture. Her work looks at the nature of spatial perception and the tools she uses are rooted in the abstract, formal language of making that she developed as an architect.
Matt Mignanelli is best known for his intricate paintings of grids inspired by light, shadow and architectural elements present in the urban landscape. Mignanelli explores permutations of the geometric forms while recording the element of chance associated with his freehand process in drips of paint that he allows to splash on the canvas as he works.

展览还包括6件来自 Matt Mignanelli 的《蓝色绘画（Blue Paintings）》系列的全新作品。 Matt Mignanelli 以其光线、阴影和城市景观中的建筑元素所激发的错综复杂的网格绘画而闻名。 他探索了这些几何图形的不同排列组合，同时也通过他的徒手绘图过程保留了随机元素，如在工作时在画布上飞溅、滴落的油漆。
